Q: How to notify users if a change is made to a license (on the client)
If I make any changes to my current Product "XYZ" - expiry date change or feature (if I have added features) add/remove, is there any way Zentitle can inform the Users "There is an update for the License, Press OK to update" or something like that. I want my users to get notified concerning this. Also, is there a way to update above mentioned License Information for the current active license if the user is offline (NOTE: The user has registered the license in online mode).
A: The best way to achieve this would be to use the application agility variables associated with license codes. You could possibly hold the current version number in these variables, check it with the running version number and if different display the message. The application agility variable could then be updated to contain the new version number or something along similar lines. Offline customers would have to repeat the offline activation process in order to receive the updated AA variables.
